However, you should attach the camera to a tripod toprevent the camera from moving and blurring the image.1 Choose ≈.● Follow Steps 1 – 2 on p. 55 to choose ≈.2 Choose the shutter speed.● Press the o button.● Press the qr buttons to select the shutterspeed, then press the m button.3 Confirm the exposure.● When you press the shutter button halfway,the exposure for the chosen shutter speedwill appear on the screen.Red-eye correction may be applied to areas other than red eyes. Forexample, when red make-up has been used around eyes.• You can correct recorded images (p. 108).• You can also display the screen in Step 2 by pressing the r button,then the n button.• The brightness of the image may differ from the brightness of thescreen in Step 3 when the shutter button was pressed halfway.• When shutter speeds of 1.3 seconds or slower are used, images areprocessed to eliminate noise after being taken. A certain amount ofprocessing time may be needed before you can take the next shot.• If you attach the camera to a tripod, you should set the [IS Mode] to[Off] (p. 123).If the flash fires, the image may be overexposed.
