SERVICING2.1 Before TroubleshootingBefore troubleshooting, check the following and see if any of the applicable problemscan be fixed.2-5S6300Part 2: Troubleshooting TroubleshootingProblemThe printer does notoperate at all.Paper feeding doesnot work.No printing.Stripes appear in theprintout.Probable CauseThe power outlet is not supplyingthe required voltage.The power cord is not properlyconnected to the printer or poweroutlet.An internal plug is disconnected.The recommended paper is notbeing used.There is foreign matter in thepaper feed section (sheet feeder,pinch roller, LF roller, platen,spur).The Print Head needs cleaning.The ink cartridge is empty.The Print Head has not beenused for a prolonged period.The print head position has notbeen adjusted.SolutionConnect the AC cord to a poweroutlet which supplies therequired voltage.Check that the power cord isconnected properly.Disconnect and reconnect theplug.Use the recommended paper.Remove the foreign matter.Clean the Print Head.Replace the ink cartridge.Clean the cartridge.
