See the StarterGuide for details.The Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) is used to determine the number of devicesthat may be connected to a telephone line. Excessive RENs on a telephone line mayresult in the devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In most but not allareas, the sum of RENs should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number ofdevices that may be connected to a line, as determined by the total RENs, contact thelocal telephone company. The REN for this product is part of the product identifier thathas the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. The digits represented by ## are the RENwithout a decimal point (e.g., 10 is a REN of 1.0).This equipment may not be used on coin service provided by the telephone company.Connection to party lines is subjected to state tariffs.In Case of Equipment MalfunctionShould any malfunction occur which cannot be corrected by the procedures describedin this guide, disconnect the equipment from the telephone line and unplug the powercord.
