A HDD is easily affected by shock, vibration, and staticcharge; therefore its handling requires special care. When transporting aHDD, which is obtainable as a service part, it must be kept in its originalpackage until it is installed into the main body.Exemption clause:There may be an accident or defect with the HDD in the machine,causing loss, destruction or alteration of data received or stored on theHDD. In no event will Canon U.S.A. or any of its affiliates or dealers beliable for any damages for loss of data received or stored on the harddisk, including loss arising from lost opportunity to use such data, even ifcanon is informed of possibility of such damages. Therefore, it isrecommended not to store data on the HDD without having copies orprintouts of such data outside.
