When the main power switch is turned ON, the control panel powerswitch is also turned ON. If you turn OFF the control panel power switch, themachine enters the Sleep mode. If you want to shut down the machine, turn OFFthe main power.Turning ON the Main PowerThis section explains how to turn ON the main power.NOTEFor instructions on how to turn OFF the main power, see “Turning OFF the MainPower,” on p. 2-4.1 Make sure that the power plug is firmly inserted into the poweroutlet.WARNINGDo not connect or disconnect the power cord with wet hands, as this may resultin electrical shock.IMPORTANT• If the main power indicator does not light up, make sure that the power cord is properlyinserted into the machine’s socket.• If the optional Cassette Heater Unit-37 is attached, it will enter the Standby modewhen you turn ON the machine’s main power.
