The combustion head adjusting screw is used to set the spacing betweenthe retention ring and throttle ring (or air cone), regulating how much airpasses around the retention ring.2. See Figure 16. Loosen the two housing cover screws. Then rotate the headadjusting screw until the distance from the housing detent to the beginningof the scale equals the value given in Table 5 (Dimension “A” ). Tighten thehousing cover screws.Set air damper (low fire position)1. See Figure 17. Loosen the air damper adjusting screw and locknut. Rotatethe adjusting screw until the air opening between the damper and thedamper housing equals the initial low-fire opening in Table 5. Leave screwand locknut loose until final adjustment.Determining final adjustments1. The burner is now adjusted to the approximate air settings for the fir-ing rate used.
