SECTION 18Energy Save OperationEnergy Save Operation CarrierPage 18.1How to Use the Energy Save FeatureHow to Use the Energy Save FeatureIf the thermostat is configured to be programmable (Section 4), andEnergy Save has been selected in step #43 (below), the room willattempt to reach the selected comfort temperature at the exact timeprogrammed into the thermostat. Energy Save, or more commonlyknown as Smart Recovery, only works when the thermostat entersOccupied 1 from Unoccupied. For example, if the Unoccupiedprogram is set for 6pm at 55°F heating and 85°F cooling, and theOccupied 1 program is set for 8am at 72°F heating and 75°F cooling,the thermostat will turn the system on before 8am in an effort to bringthe temperature to its correct setting at exactly 8am.The P374-2900 learns from experience, so please allow 4-8 daysafter a program change or after initial installation to give Energy Savetime to adjust to local weather, the construction of your business, andyour heating and cooling system.Press the PROGRAM button to leave the Setup screens.
