SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS GENERAL INFORMATIONWARNINGIf the appliance emits smokeor a burning smell,immediately disconnect thepower supply and contact yourlocal dealer or service center.Refer to the installationmanual for electricalrequirements.Otherwise, electric shock or firemay occur.Preparing for extended showdownperiod.Clean the filters and reposition themin the unit. Operate the unit in Fanonly mode for 12 hours to dry allinternal parts. Turn the main powersupply off and remove the batteriesfrom the remote control.All wires must be sized per NECor CEC and local codes.Non-compliance will causeoverheating or fire.Before cleaning or performingmaintenance tasks, disconnectthe main power to the airconditioning unit.Cut off power supplyDisconnecting the power supply willprevent risk of electric shock ordamage.The air conditioner automaticallyturns on or off, according to yoursettings. Do not turn on or turnoff the unit frequently, to preventdamaging the appliance.The rate voltage on this airconditioner is 208/230-60-1.The compressor will vibratesharply if the voltage is too low.Electrical components may bedamaged if the voltage is too high.Do not try to install or repair theair conditioner; always contacttrained, experienced personnel.Incorrect installation or repair maycause a malfunction or injury.Do not climb onto or place anyobjects on top of the airconditioner.Improper installation could lead todamage and/or injury.Make sure the base of theoutdoor unit is installed level andsecure before use.The air conditioning unit mustbe properly grounded.If damage to the power or controlwiring occurs, contact aprofessional to repair the wiring.2
