34Disconnect field power supply1. Disconnect power to the unit. Lock- out/tag- out onunit disconnect switch.2. Remove the outdoor access panel, control box cover,and indoor access panels from the unit. Save screws(See Fig. 37, 38, and 39).3. Remove control box cover and center post. Savescrews (See Fig. 39).5. Add seal strip to the rear bottom corner of the controlpanel as shown in Fig. 40. Foil tape open screw holeson the back of the single point box as shown in Fig.40. Different single point boxes will have differentscrew holes open.6. All bushings in the area of the control box where thesingle point box (SPB) mounts must be removed priorto securing the SPB to the control box (See Fig. 41).Also, for units installed in the snow belt, allunplugged holes in the bottom of the control box,which are not used must be plugged before installingthe SPB. Use foil tape or reinstall the bushings fromthe outside of the control box prior to securing theSPB (See Fig. 42).7. Remove the single point box cover. Secure singlepoint box to the underside of the control box with thetwo screws provided. Re- install bushing on the SPBtap conductors (See Fig. 36).8. Secure the rain shield (conduit drip boot bracket)assembly to the back of the single point box with 2 ofthe screws provided. The channel portion of thebracket assembly extends to the top panel behind thecontrol box.
