Checkconductors run in multiple to insure that they are properly wired.Refer to unit installation instructions for complete unit installationdetails. The minimum air quantity for safe electric heater operationis shown in Table 2.Before performing installation, service or maintenance opera-tions on this system turn off all main power switches and/ordisconnects. There may be more than one switch or discon-nect. Turn off accessory heater power switch if applicable.Electrical shock can cause serious injury or death. If “G” is not energizedsystem malfunction will occur.1. Open all electrical disconnects and install lock-out tag beforebeginning any installation or service work.2. Check for proper equipment model number from list.3. Verify that unit duct work is installed per base unit instruc-tions.4. Remove top cover of the unit to access heater compartment(See Fig. 1).5. Locate and remove the heater knockout plate in the indoorblower housing (See Fig. 1 & 2).6. Remove electric heater from the packaging. Route control andheater high voltage wire through power and control wiringknockout as shown in Fig. 1.7. Install heater, sliding assembly carefully into heater area in theblower housing (See Fig. 1 & 2). Ensure that mounting holesof heater align with mounting holes on the unit. Secure heaterassembly with screws provided.8. Dress wires with wire ties provided. Route heater wires alongexisting unit wire bundles behind and away from capacitors.9. Fused Units: Remove fuse links of the fuse block, attach fuseblock with screws (2) on mounting holes provided andre-install the fuse links. Attach lid to unit panel with (4)screws provided. Align with existing mounting holes (See Fig.1).10. Non-Fused Units: Adhere schematic in lieu of fused blockinside unit panel (See Fig. 2).11. Install ground lug in mounting hole provided adjacent to 24-v.compartment (See Fig. 2).ELECTRICAL CONNECTION1. Open all electrical disconnects and install lock-out tag beforebeginning any installation or service work.2.
