The electrical outlet MUSTmatch the plug on the unit power cord. The unit name-plate contains unit electrical data, unit ratings, andidentification numbers. Do not use a plug adapter or anextension cord.Check available power supply and resolve any wiringproblems before installing and operating the air condi-tioner. If wiring is required, all wiring must complywith all local and national electrical codes. All wiringmust be installed by a qualified electrician. If you haveany questions regarding the unit electrical data or wir-ing, consult a qualified electrician before installation.For your safety, this air conditioner is groundedthrough the power cord plug when plugged into amatching wall outlet.WINDOW INSTALLATIONTo install the room air conditioner in a window,perform the following procedure.1. Check contents of hardware kit. See Table 1. Makesure all the items are in the plastic bag.2. Determine which window will be used for installa-tion. Make sure there is adequate clearance on theinside and outside of the window. Ensure that thepower cord will reach the available socket withoutan extension cord.
