INTRODUCTIONThank you for purchasing this model of the Carrierproduct line. This model is a compact, high perfor-mance, air-cooled, engine-driven generator designedto automatically supply electrical power to operatecritical loads during a utility power failure.This unit is factory installed in an all-weather, metalenclosure that is intended exclusively for outdoorinstallation. This generator will operate using eithervapor withdrawn liquid propane (LP) or natural gas(NG).This unit meets the 1998 and later Californiaemissions regulations. To ensure that the enginecontinues to meet these regulations, refer to thefollowing information and instructions in thisowner’s manual.READ THIS MANUAL THOROUGHLYIf any portion of this manual is not understood,contact the nearest dealer for starting, operating andservicing procedures.Throughout this publication, and on tags and decalsaffixed to the generator, DANGER, WARNING,CAUTION and NOTE blocks are used to alert person-nel to special instructions about a particular opera-tion that may be hazardous if performed incorrectlyor carelessly. Normalmaintenance service and replacement of parts are theresponsibility of the owner/operator and, as such, arenot considered defects in materials or workmanshipwithin the terms of the warranty. Individual operatinghabits and usage contribute to the need for mainte-nance service.Proper maintenance and care of the generator ensuresa minimum number of problems and keep operatingexpenses at a minimum.
