Remove access panel for compressor and control box.See Fig. 1.3. Spread crankcase heater arms and slide crankcaseheater over the top of the compressor. See Fig. 1.4. Wrap heater around compressor base approximately2 in. above compressor mounting plate.5. Fasten heater firmly in place with fastening clip(Fig. 1) provided with the crankcase heater.6. Route crankcase heater leads into unit control box, fol-lowing the path of the compressor leads. See Fig. 1.7. Connect one black lead to the compressor contactorterminal 11, and connect other black lead to compres-sor contactor terminal 13 for 3-phase units; 23 (lineside) for single-phase units. See Fig. 2.8. Attach green crankcase heater ground lead to groundscrew in control box.9. Replace access panel.10.
