CarrierCarrier Indoor & Outdoor Split Geothermal Heat Pumps - Rev.: 08/10/0552Accessories & OptionsHot Water Generator (internal) - GT-PX & GT-GSunits onlyAn optional heat reclaiming desuperheater coil of venteddouble-wall copper construction suitable for potablewater shall be provided. The coil and hot water circulatingpump shall be factory mounted inside the unit. A high limit(GT-PX/GT-GS units) and low compressor discharge linetemperature switch (GT-PX units) shall be provided todisable the pump when these conditions occur.Hot Water Generator (field installed) - GT-S units onlyAn optional heat reclaiming Hot Water Generator(desuperheater) Remote Module with vented double-wallcopper construction suitable for potable water shall beprovided as a field installed accessory. A high limit shut-offswitch shall be provided. The HWG Remote Module shall belocated remote from the compressor section, near the waterheater, and shall include an internal pump and water coil.Cupro-Nickel Heat ExchangerAn optional corrosion resistant CuNi coaxial heatexchanger shall be factory installed in lieu of standardcopper construction.Thermostat (fi eld installed)A multistage auto-changeover electronic digitalthermostat shall be provided. The thermostat shall offer2 heating and 1 cooling stages (GT-GS/GT-S units) or 3heating and 2 cooling stages (GT-PX units) with precisetemperature control. An OFF-HEAT-AUTO-COOL-EMERG system switch, OFF-AUTO fan switch, andindicat ing LED’s shall be provided. The thermostat shallread out in °F or °C and be calibratable.Flow Controller (field installed)A self-contained module shall provide all fluid pumping,fill and connection requirements for ground-source closedloop systems up to 20 GPM. The Flow Controller shallprovide 1” pump isolation valves and 3-way service valves.Pump heads shall be removable from the volute for easyreplacement. The Flow Controller shall be enclosed ina galvanized steel or plastic case and fully insulatedwith urethane foam to prevent condensation. The FlowController shall have a 5-year warranty on all parts.Hose Kits (field installed) - GT-PX & GT-GS onlyA rubber hose kit shall provide connections between theunit and Flow Controller. Rubber 1” hose allows flexibleconnection and absorbs vibration transmission betweenunit and Flow Controller. Brass elbows with MPT fittingsfor unit connection, barbed fittings for hose connectionand FPT fittings for Pressure/Temperature ports shall beincluded to allow service and troubleshooting of the unit.Hose clamps shall be used to connect the hose to thebrass elbows and Flow Controller.Cooling TXV Kit (field installed) - R-22 GT-GS & GT-Sunits onlyA cooling thermostatic expansion valve kit shall beprovided to be field installed on the A-Coil or at theair handler.Warranty InformationThe Carrier residential warranty reflects the reliabilitybuilt in to every unit and includes five years on all parts,and ten years on the compressor and refrigerant circuitparts with a service labor allowance during the first 30days. An optional extended warranty is available forresidential units, which adds a labor allowance and tripcharge. See extended warrantycertificate (CA186) for details.
