An extension of Carrier's proven line ofthermostats, it provides separate set points for heating andcooling, and now adds humidification and dehumidification.Different heating and cooling set points and times areprogrammable for 4 periods per day and 7 days per week. TheThermidistat Control can also be field-configured as anon-programmable thermostat. When operating in thenon-programmable configuration it will still have bothtemperature and humidity control. Batteries are not used.During power loss an internal memory stores programs andsettings for unlimited time, and the clock continues to run for atleast 8 hr.INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONSPOWERNote that this control does not require batteries and is not "powerstealing." It does require 24vac (R and (7 terminals) of thelow-voltage transformer to be connected to it for properoperation. It will not operate without these 2 connections.MODELSThere is a single programmable/non-programmable model for allapplications. It can be configured for AC or HP, 1-or 2-stagecompressor, and for Hybrid Heat" installations, allowing it to beused in place of all Carrier thermostats.HUMIDIFY EQUIPMENT AND CONNECTIONSThe humidify output connects directly to 24vac operatedhumidifiers. No other connection or interlock is required. Any ofseveral installer-selectable operating modes are available.
