EnglishGetting ReadyE-37You can connect audio equipment or a music amplifierto the Digital Piano and then play through externalspeakers for more powerful volume and better soundquality.IMPORTANT!• The Digital Piano automatically adjusts sound outputto optimize for headphone output (when headphonesare connected) or built-in speaker output (whenheadphones are not connected). This also will causea change in the output quality from the DigitalPiano’s LINE OUT R and L/MONO jacks.• Whenever connecting a device to the Digital Piano,first use the VOLUME controller to set the volume toa low level. After connecting, you can adjust thevolume to the level you want.• Whenever you connect any device to the DigitalPiano, be sure to read the user documentation thatcomes with the device.Connecting to Audio Equipment 1Use commercially available cables to connect theexternal audio equipment to the piano’s LINE OUTjacks as shown in Figure 1. LINE OUT R jack output isright channel sound, while LINE OUT L/MONO jackoutput is left channel sound. It is up to you to purchaseconnecting cables like the ones shown in theillustration for connection of audio equipment.Normally in this configuration you must set the audioequipment’s input selector to the setting that specifiesthe terminal (such as AUX IN) to which the piano isconnected. Use the piano’s VOLUME controller toadjust the volume level.Connecting to a Musical InstrumentAmplifier 2Use commercially available cables to connect theamplifier to the piano’s LINE OUT jacks as shown inFigure 2. LINE OUT R jack output is right channelsound, while LINE OUT L/MONO jack output is leftchannel sound. Connecting to the LINE OUTL/ MONO jack only outputs a mixture of bothchannels. It is up to you to purchase connecting cablelike the one shown in the illustration for connection ofthe amplifier.
