After connecting, you can adjust thevolume to the level you want.Connect commercially available headphones to thePHONES jacks. Connecting headphones to either ofthe PHONES jack cuts off output to the speakers,which means you can practice even late at nightwithout bothering others. To protect your hearing,make sure that you do not set the volume level too highwhen using headphones.NOTE• Be sure to push the headphones plug into thePHONES jacks as far as it will go. If you don’t, youmay hear sound from only one side of theheadphones.• If the plug of the headphones you are using does notmatch the PHONES jacks, use the applicablecommercially available adaptor plug.• If you are using headphones that require an adaptorplug, make sure you do not leave the adaptorplugged in when you unplug the headphones. If youdo, nothing will sound from the speakers when youplay.You can connect audio equipment or a music amplifierto the digital piano and then play through externalspeakers for more powerful volume and better soundquality.Connecting Audio Equipment (Figure 1)Use commercially available connecting cords (MiniPlug × 1, Pin Plugs × 2) to connect as shown in Figure1. Make sure that the end of the cord that you connectto the digital piano is a stereo mini plug. A monauralstandard plug will result in output of only one of thetwo stereo channels.
