E-90Loading a FileUse the procedures in this section when you want to load datafrom external storage media into the keyboard’s user area.IMPORTANT!• Note the following important points whenever using theSMF Player Mode to play back data saved with the aboveprocedure.* SD Memory CardTo perform the procedure below, you must have anSD memory card to which SMF data has been copiedfrom a computer. Insert an SD memory card that youhave formatted on the keyboard into the card slot ofyour computer, and copy the SMF data you want toload into the directory named “MUSICDAT”. Note thatyou will not be able to load the data if it is not locatedinside the “MUSICDAT” directory. If you create a sub-directory inside of the “MUSICDAT” directory, thekeyboard will not be able to load any data inside thesub-directory.* Floppy Diskette (WK-3800 only)This keyboard is able to see only files that are in thetop (root) directory of the floppy diskette. It will not beable to see any files that are located in a subdirectory.PREPARATION• SD Memory Card• Insert the SD memory card that contains the data youwant to load into the keyboard’s card slot.• Floppy Diskette (WK-3800 Only)• Insert the floppy diskette that contains the data youwant to load into the keyboard’s floppy disk drive.NOTE• Depending on the type and the amount of data involvedand type of media you are using (SD memory card orfloppy diskette*), a data save or load operation can takeanywhere from a few minutes to more than 30 minutesto complete. The message “Pls Wait” will remain on thedisplay to indicate that a data save or load operation isbeing performed.* WK-3800 onlyIMPORTANT!• Never try to perform any operation while “Pls Wait” isdisplayed. Performing any operation can cause Flashmemory, or memory card or floppy diskette data to bedeleted, and damage the keyboard’s memory and causeit to malfunction.To recall file data from external storage media1 What you should do first depends on the type ofexternal storage media you are using.• SD Memory CardOn the WK-3800, press the DISK/CARD button twice.On the WK-3300/WK-8000, press the CARD buttononce.• This causes the CARD indicator (the DISK/CARDindicator on WK-3800) to appear on the display, andalso displays “Card” in the display’s text area.• Floppy Diskette (WK-3800 Only)Press the DISK/CARD button.• This causes the DISK/CARD indicator to appearon the display, and also displays “Disk” in thedisplay’s text area.NOTE• After pressing the DISK/CARD button (WK-3300/WK-8000: CARD button) once, you can use the [] and []CURSOR buttons to select the external storage media.2 Press the [] CURSOR button to display the CardMode (or Disk Mode) menu.3 Use the [] and [] CURSOR buttons to displaythe “Load” screen.4 Press the [] CURSOR button to advance to thefile type selection screen.5 Use the [] and [] CURSOR buttons to select thetype file you want to load.6 Press the [] CURSOR button to display the filename selection screen.7 Use the [] and [] CURSOR buttons or [+] and [–]buttons to select the name of the file you want to load.• You could also use the number buttons to input athree-digit file number.
