It can also be used to detectflooded basements.SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:The device comes with a 3V lithium battery. Batter-ies are to be handled with care and battery pow-ered devices should be kept out of reach of chil-dren. Do not try to recharge or burn the batteries.TECHNICAL INFORMATION:The maximum number of alarms that can be inter-linked within a house group is 32.Please note: These must be alarms from the CAV-IUS Wireless Alarm Family.The distance between interlinked alarms dependson the house layout and they should always betested after installation. It is not advised to getmore than 10m distance between two alarms.Diameter: 60mm. Height: 31mm.The alarm is powered by a replaceable 3v CR123Alithium battery.Complies to standards: RoHS, REACH, EMC di-rective 2004/108/EC.1. HOW TO SET UP AND CONNECT ALARMS:Open the flood alarm top cover by twisting counterclockwise. Remove the Test button / Lid to accessthe battery and the RF learn slide switch.Start by pulling out the battery isolation strip asshown.Please note: The product label must not be re-moved as it contains important information regard-ing the product.All alarms that need to be connected in the houseshould be put into ‘Learn Mode’ by sliding theswitch on the top of the alarm to the ‘Learn mode’position.The red LED will light up to indicate that ‘LearnMode’ has been selected.Do not take out the battery during ‘Learn Mode’ asthis will interrupt the learn process.Press and hold the test button at one alarm only,until it beeps and the LED flashes. This alarm willbecome the master and will start sending out aspecific house code to the other alarms.As the other alarms receive the specific housecode, they will also flash the LED light.When the red LED light flashes on all alarms, theyare connected and MUST BE SWITCHED OUT OF‘LEARN MODE’ and installed.Label the original “Learn” alarm in order to easilyadd new CAVIUS Wireless Family alarms to thesystem.Remount the Test button / Lid. Close the floodalarm top cover by twisting clockwise.2. THE BEST AREAS TO INSTALL THEFLOOD ALARM:• Install a flood alarm where it is hard to discoverpossible leaks.• Install next to washing machine, dishwasher,uder-sink cabinet or in the cellar.• Install in basements.Place the alarm where it is reachable in order totest the battery.3. AREAS WHERE NOT TO INSTALL FLOODALARMS:• On the ceiling.• On the wall (unless using accessory wallmounting base, see section 5).• In rooms where temperature goes outside0°C to 40°C.Place the alarm where it is reachable in order totest the battery.4. PLACEMENT:The flood alarm is designed to be placed on thefloor near to possible leaks.NOTE: If you place the flood alarm in places wherea potential water leak / flood can rise higher than2cm, there is a risk of your flood alarm beeing dam-aged. In these places we recommend wall mount-ing base with probe.5. ACCESSORY WALL MOUNTING BASE WITHPROBE:NOTE: The wall mounting base with probe is anaccessory option for the flood alarm.
