Failure to doso can result in serious injury and damage to the machine.2.1 Basic safety instructionsOnly authorized personnel should use the machine. Anyone working onthe machine should read the operating manual first.The machine should only be set up in accordance with the manual.The operating manual should be available at the machine's location at alltimes.Observe the generally applicable safety and accident prevention regula-tions and the legal regulations concerning industrial safety and environ-mental protection.If you use parts from suppliers, observe the safety information and oper-ating manual provided by the manufacturer.All warnings on the machine must always be in legible condition and maynot be removed. Missing or damaged labels should be replaced immedi-ately.In the following situations, the machine must be disconnected from thepower supply using the main switch or by disconnecting the power plug:• Threading• Replacing the needle or other sewing tools• Leaving the workplace• Performing service, maintenance work and repairsInspect the machine while in use for any externally visible damage. Stopworking as soon as you notice any changes to the machine. Report anychanges to your supervisor. A damaged machine may no longer be used.Machines or machine parts that have reached the end of their service lifemust not continue to be used. They have to be disposed of correctly andin accordance with the applicable statutory provisions.Only qualified specialists may set up the machine. Anyone setting up themachine should read the operating manual first.
