(132.1cm). Rear feed system keeps Retractor out of the way.• Holster and Hook2Loop Bungee Tether combination (1500097) can be usedto tie off scaffold wrenches.ü When to use a Scaffold Wrench Holster with Retractor• To maintain positive control of scaffold wrenches while working at height.û When NOT to use a Scaffold Wrench Holster with Retractor• Do not use tools that exceed D-Ring or Retractor load limits.Warnings• All warnings, warning labels and instructions should be read andunderstood before using this product. Failure to do so may result inproperty damage, serious injury or death.• All procedures shown in this instruction are for Python Safety productsonly.• Python Safety attachment points require the use of an appropriatePython Safety Lanyard, Tether or Retractor for safe connection ofthe tool or equipment to another Python attachment point, the useror an anchorage. See specific Python Safety instructions for productinstallation, connection and use procedures.• Do not use for worker fall protection or for climbing.• Do not use if fall protection for tool components will interfere with thesafe working condition or operation of the connected tool or equipment.• If a tool is dropped or a load is forced onto the connection point,inspect the tool and fall protection for tool componentsconnected to the tool for damage. This includes the attachmentpoint, the lanyard and the anchor point. (Anchor point examples: toolholster, tool belt, tool bag, worker safety harness or anchor point suchas a rail.) Look for torn stitching and for deformities and damage to anymaterial. If damage is found, remove the affected items from serviceimmediately and replace them.• Inspect before, during, and after use to ensure fall protection for toolcomponents are in good working condition and free from defects, cuts,tears, etc. See “Inspect Before Use” in this instruction manual. Nevermodify Python Safety products.• Never exceed the maximum load rating stated on the Python Safetyproduct label.• Never connect individual tools that weigh more than 5 pounds (2.26 kg)to a person.• Never attach tool lanyards or attachment points to a tapered surface.• Never wrap fall protection for tool components around rough or sharpedges.• Never attach multiple fall protection for tool components together (daisychain).• Never make a modification to a connected tool or equipment that willcause it to deviate from the manufacturer’s specification.• Always use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).• Use extreme caution while working around rotating or movingequipment.• To avoid the danger of electrical shock, use extreme caution whenworking around power equipment and connections.• Read and understand product information and warning labels for allconnecting lanyards and adapters.• All connected tools and equipment must be properly maintained andinspected for defects or deterioration before each use.Inspect Before UsePython Safety equipment and components must be thoroughly inspectedbefore, during and after each use. Any fall protection for tools componentthat has deformities, unusual wear or deterioration must be immediatelyremoved from service and replaced. Inspect the entire surface of thecomponent, carefully rotating it while visually inspecting for damage or wearthat might affect its usefulness and dependability. Inspect material andstitching, hardware, D-Rings and fasteners. Confirm that carabiners, triggersnaps, retractors and other connectors operate properly.How to use the Scaffold Wrench Holster with Retractor:1. Insert user’s belt through the Retractor Holster belt loops.2. The Python Safety Steel Cable Retractor feeds through the rear of theholster. Connect to the scaffold wrench by threading the Quick Ringattached to the yoke at the end of the Retractor Cable through the pre-drilled hole in the end of the wrench.The connected scaffold wrench can not exceed 1.5 lbs (0.7 kg) whenusing the Retractor.How to use the Scaffold Wrench Holster with Hook2Loop BungeeTether (1500097):3. Scaffold wrenches that weigh more than 1.5 lbs (0.7 kg) but less than 5lbs (2.3kg) can be tethered to the Scaffold Wrench Holster 1500097 byusing the included Hook2Loop Bungee Tether. Connect the loop end ofthe Tether to the scaffold wrench with the included Quick Ring. Pass thecarabiner end of the Tether through the loop and pull tight to cinch theTether on the Quick Ring. Connect the carabiner to one of the HolsterD-Rings.If the pre-drilled hole in the end of the wrench is large enough, theTether can be connected to the wrench handle without the use of theQuick Ring. Feed the loop end of the Tether through the hole. Pass thecarabiner end of the Tether through the loop and pull tight to cinchthe Tether on the handle. Connect the carabiner to one of the HolsterD-Rings.4. When the scaffold wrench is not in use, the hook and loop strap can beclosed to secure the wrench in the Holster. When the scaffold wrench isin use, the strap can be locked in an open position for easy holsteringand un-holstering of the wrench.After UseAfter use, clean the Holster, Retractor and connected tool or equipment toremove dirt, corrosives or contaminants. Remove surface dirt with a wipe thathas been moistened with a mild solution of water and soap or detergent. Workinto a thick lather and clean the item. Wipe with a clean cloth and hang to dryaway from excessive heat, steam, or sunlight.Store in a clean and dry environment, free from fumes or corrosive elements.Proper care of safety equipment helps to ensure that it will operate effectivelyand to extend its service life.In Case of a Dropped Tool• If a tool is dropped or a load is forced onto the connection point,inspect the tool and fall protection for tool componentsconnected to the tool for damage.
