36FB, 54FBTURF BEASTRev: Mar2011 T URF BEAST Finish Mower8Assembly InstructionsStep 3: Wire Harness Assembly and ConnectionsThe pre-wired handle bar assembly has a total of four(4) connections. Route the wire harness as shown inthe top right photo and make the followingconnections indentified by number in the otherphotos:1. Route the smaller, white, 2-pin connector througha hole in the chassis and connect it to the bladeactivation safety switch 2-pin connector.2. Connect the larger, 5-pin connector to the matingconnector at the rear of the engine.3. Connect the black wire to a ground lug located onthe back or side of the engine.4. If equipped, attach the yellow wire to the bottomof the starter motor solenoid on the engine, withthe positive (red) battery cable.Attach the positive (red) and ground (black) batteryterminal wires to the battery to provide power to theelectric starter.Note: Battery ground should be to the engine block.Once all connections are made, use the providedblack wire-ties to strap the wire harness into placepermanently to the handle bars and chassis.Step 4: Throttle and Choke Cable ConnectionsThe throttle and choke are shown in the adjacentphoto. See instructions for connecting them to theengine in the Engine Owner’s Manual provided.ThrottleChoke |
