5Refrigerator OperationWater Filter IndicatorThe water filter indicator,located on the controlpanel, will help you knowwhen to change the waterfilter.When the water filterstatus display changesfrom GOOD to ORDER FILTER, order a new filter. When the filterindicator reads REPLACE FILTER, it is recommended that youreplace the filter. To change the filter, see the Replacing the WaterFilter on page 11.After changing the water filter, press and hold FILTER RESET for2 seconds until the status display changes to GOOD.Sabbath ModeThe Sabbath Mode feature is designed for the traveler or forthose whose religious observances require turning off the lightsand ice maker. By selecting this feature, the temperature setpoints and Deli Pan settings remain unchanged, the ice maker willbe disabled and the interior lights will turn off. For most efficientrefrigerator operation, exit the Sabbath Mode when it is no longerrequired.In Sabbath Mode, the temperatureset points remain unchanged and theinterior lights turn off. Touch the SABBATH MODE key toturn on Sabbath Mode. Touch SABBATH MODE again toturn off Sabbath Mode.NOTE: If the Max Cold featureis selected prior to turning on the Sabbath mode, thetemperature settings will remain at 34°F (1°C) and -5°F(-21°C) for the refrigerator and freezer compartments, untilthe Max Cold feature time (24 hours) is up. The refrigeratorwill then return to the previous temperature settings chosenprior to turning on the Max Cold feature, but the lights and icemaker will remain off until the SABBATH MODE key is touchedagain.AlarmsOver TemperatureIMPORTANT: If theOver TemperatureAlarm activates, yourfood may spoil. SeePower Interruptions onpage 9. Minimizedoor openings untiltemperatures return tonormal.The Over Temperature feature is designed to let you know wheneither the refrigerator temperature rises above 48°F (9°C) orthe freezer temperature rises above 15°F (-9°C) for longer than1½ hours. The audio alarm will shut off automatically when thetemperature returns to normal, but the indicator light will continueto flash to let you know that an over temperature condition hasoccurred.If the over temperature condition is still present when a RESETALARM is performed, the indicator light will continue to reactivateevery 1½ hours until refrigerator and freezer temperatures arebelow 48°F (9°C) and 15°F (-9°C), respectively.NOTE: To deactivate the audio alarm and indicator light, seeMaster Alarm Reset below.Door AlarmThe DOOR ALARM lightwill flash, an alarm willsound and the interiorlights will turn off when adoor has been open forlonger than 10 minutes.When the door is closed,the audio alarm will resetand turn off, but the DOOR ALARM light will continue to flash untilthe temperature is equal to or below 45°F (7°C) and 15°F (-9°C)for the refrigerator and freezer compartments, respectively.NOTE: To deactivate the audio alarm and indicator light, seeMaster Alarm Reset below.Master Alarm ResetTouching the ALARM RESET key once willshut off the audio alarm and the indicator light.The audio alarm will not sound again for thecurrent condition that caused the alarm until anew condition occurs or until a master alarm reset is performed.A master alarm reset can be performed by touching the COOLINGON-OFF key twice or by turning the power to the refrigerator offand on again. See Turning the Main Power Switch On/Off on page3. The indicator light will reactivate after a master alarm resetif the condition that caused the alarm is still present.
