To prevent scratching, do not useabrasive cleaners or scrubbers on stainless steel orglass surfaces.To avoid damage to the blower system, do•not reinstall damaged filters (see page 6 forreplacement part numbers).Proper cleaning is necessary to ensure safeoperation and maintain hood performance andappearance. The frequency of cleaning shouldbe adjusted according to the type and amount ofcooking. Best results will be achieved by cleaningsoiled components as soon as possible.Cleaning Stainless Steel SurfacesClean stainless steel surfaces with a mild solutionof detergent or dishwashing soap and warm water.Rinse and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.You may also use Dacor Stainless Steel Cleaner.Use it according to the directions on the package.Cleaning the Light LensUse a mild glass cleaner to remove smudges onthe light fixture lens. You can also clean it withDacor Cook Top Cleaning Creme. Use it accordingto the directions on the package.Cleaning the Filter(s)Clean the filter a minimum of every twomonths. To help remind you to clean thefilter(s), the control panel will flash after30 hours of blower operation. Touch thetimer reset key to reset.Care and CleaningRemoving the FilterThe filter A is located on the bottom of the hood,directly above the cooking surface.Hold the filter in place with one hand and pull1.back on the release lever B with the other.While pulling back on the release lever, lower the2.filter out of the hood. On hoods with more thanone filter, remove, clean and replace all of thefilters.Cleaning the FilterHand wash the filter in hot water with a milddetergent solution or dishwashing soap. You canalso place it in an automatic dishwasher. Dry thefilter completely before reinstalling.Reinstalling the Filter:Insert tabs on the end of the filter opposite the1.release lever into the slots toward the back ofthe hood (above the hood rim). The release levermust be facing down.Pull back on the release lever while sliding the2.free end of the filter into the filter opening.Release the lever.3.bA
