FOLLOW ALL WARNINGSAND INSTRUCTIONS MARKED ON THE TV RECEIVER.1 Read all of these instructions.2 Save these instructions for later use.3 Unplug this television equipment fromthe wall outlet before cleaning. Do notuse liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.Use a damp cloth for cleaning.4 Do not use attachments not recommend-ed by the television equipment manufac-turer as they may result in the risk offire, electric shock or other personalinjury.5 Do not use this television equipmentnear water, for example, near a bathtub,washbowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub,in a wet basement, or near a swimmingpool, or the like.6 Do not place this television equipment onan unstable cart, stand, or table. Thetelevision equipment may fall, causingserious injury to a child or adult, andserious damage to the equipment. Useonly with a cart or stand recommendedby the manufacturer, or sold with thetelevision equipment. Wall or shelfmounting should follow the manufactur-er's instructions, and should use amounting kit approved by the manufac-turer.6A An appliance and cart combinationshould be moved with care. Quick stops,excessive force, and uneven surfaces maycause the appliance and cart combina-tion to overturn.7 Slots and openings in the cabinet andthe back or bottom are provided for ven-tilation and to ensure reliable operationof the television equipment; and to pro-tect it from overheating, these opening,must not be blocked or covered. Theopening should never be blocked by plac-ing the television equipment on a bed,sofa, rug, or other similar surface. (Thisequipment should never be placed nearor over a radiator or heat register.) Thistelevision equipment should not beplaced in a built-in installation such as abookcase unless proper ventilation isprovided.8 This television equipment should beoperated only from the type of powersource indicated on the marking label. Ifyou are not sure of the type of powersupplied to your home, consult your tele-vision dealer or local power company.9 This television equipment is equippedwith a polarized alternating current lineplug (a plug having one blade wider thanthe other). This plug will fit into thepower outlet only one way. This is asafety feature. If you are unable to insertthe plug fully into the outlet, try revers-ing the plug. If the plug should still failto fit, contact your electrician to replaceyour obsolete outlet. Do not defeat thesafety purpose of the polarized plug.10 Do not allow anything to rest on thepower cord. Do not locate this televisionequipment where the cord will be abusedby persons walking on it.11 Follow all warnings and instructionsmarked on the television equipment.12 For added protection for this televisionequipment during a lightning storm, orwhen it is left unattended and unusedfor long periods of time, unplug it fromthe wall outlet and disconnect the anten-na or cable system. This will preventdamage to the equipment due to light-ning and power-line surges.
