This may result in a water leakage from theindoor unit. Under such circumstances, stop theoperation of the air conditioner, and then consultyour dealer or our service station.Read the operation manual that came withthe remote controller.• Operating procedure varies with heat pump typeand cooling only type. Contact your Daikin dealerto confirm your system type.• To protect the unit, turn on the main power switch6 hours before operation.• If the main power supply is turned off during oper-ation, operation will restart automatically after thepower turns back on again.[EXPLANATION OF HEATING OPERATION]DEFROST OPERATION• As the frost on the coil of an outdoor unit increase,heating effect decreases and the system goesinto DEFROST OPERATION.• The indoor unit fan stops and the remote control-ler display shows “ ”.• After 6 to 8 minutes (maximum 10 minutes) ofDEFROST OPERATION, the system returns toHEATING OPERATION.5. OPERATION PROCEDURERegarding outside air temperature and heat-ing capacity• The heating capacity of the air conditionerdeclines as the outside air temperature falls. Insuch a case, use the air conditioner in combina-tion with other heating systems.• A warm air circulating system is employed, andtherefore it takes some time until the entire roomis warmed up after the start of operation.• An indoor fan runs to discharge a gentle windautomatically until the temperature inside the airconditioner reaches a certain level. At this time,the remote controller displays “ ”. Leave itas it stands and wait for a while.• When the warm air stays under the ceiling andyour feet are cold, we recommend that you use acirculator (a fan to circulate the air inside theroom).
