8 English• Never place objects near the air inlet and the airoutlet of the unit. It may cause deterioration in theeffect or stop in the operation.• Turn off the main power supply switch when it isnot used for long periods of time.When the main power switch is turned on, somewatts of electricity is being used even if thesystem is not operating.Turn off the main power supply switch for savingenergy. When reoperating, turn on the mainpower supply switch 6 hours before operation forsmooth running (Refer to MAINTENANCE).Note 1: The consumed power while theoutdoor unit is stopped depends onthe model of the unit.Note 2: The saved setting is the state beforethe power circuit breaker is shut off.(Timer settings will be erased.)• Do not let the air blow directly to a person.• When the display shows “ ” (TIME TO CLEANAIR FILTER), ask a qualified service person toclean the filter (Refer to MAINTENANCE).• It takes time for the room temperature to reach theset temperature.We recommend starting the operation in advanceusing timer operation.• Install TVs, radios, and stereos 1 m or more awayfrom the indoor unit and remote controller.Images may become fuzzy and noise may begenerated.ONLY A QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSON ISALLOWED TO PERFORM MAINTENANCEWARNINGDo not use flammable materials (e.g.,hairspray or insecticide) near the product.Do not clean the product with organicsolvents such as paint thinner.The use of organic solvents may cause crackdamage to the product, electric shocks, or fire.CAUTION• BEFORE OBTAINING ACCESS TO TERMINALDEVICES, ALL POWER SUPPLY CIRCUITSMUST BE INTERRUPTEDBefore cleaning, be sure to stop unit operation,turn the breaker off or remove the power cord.Otherwise, an electric shock and injury may result.• Do not wash the air conditioner with water, asthis may result in electric shocks or fire.8.
