Functional concept ESIE05-042–10 Part 2 – Functional Description312451.7 Automatic RestartPurpose The purpose of the auto-restart function is to automatically resume the same operating mode as whenthe unit was operating when the power supply is restored after a power failure.Do not use the "Automatic Restart" function to daily start/stop the unit.Precautions whenturning OFF powerQ When you have to turn OFF the power supply in order to carry out maintenance, make sure to turnthe remote control's ON/OFF switch OFF firstly.Q If you turn OFF the power supply while the remote control's ON/OFF switch is still ON, the"automatic restart function" automatically starts the indoor fan immediately and the outdoor unit fanstarts automatically 3 minutes after the power supply is turned back ON.Q Do not start/stop the unit by disconnecting the power supply.Stop the unit by stop commando fromthe remote controller or optional controller before disconnecting the power supply. Be sure that thecompressor and the outdoor fans are stopped before disconnecting the power supply so the"Refrigerant Recovery function" has been finished correctly.Q When restarting the unit after the power was disconnected for a longer period leave the unit OFFwith the power supply connected for about half an hour.
