The indoor unitswitches to fan operation.9. NOT MALFUNCTION OF THE AIRCONDITIONERII. The fan speed is different from the setting.• Pressing the fan speed control button doesnot change the fan speed.When the room temperature reaches the settemperature in heating mode, the outdoor unitstops and the indoor unit switches to whispermode. This is to prevent the cool air from beingblown directly onto anyone in the room.III. AIR BLOW DIRECTION IS NOT AS SPECIFIED.• Actual air blow direction is not as shown onthe remote controller.• Automatic swing setting does not work.Refer to “AIR FLOW DIRECTION ADJUST”.IV. WHITE MIST COMES OUT OF A UNIT• When humidity is high during cooling opera-tion. (In oily or dusty places)If the inside of an indoor unit is extremely con-taminated, the temperature distribution inside aroom becomes uneven. It is necessary to cleanthe inside of the indoor unit. Ask your Daikindealer for details on cleaning the unit. This oper-ation requires a qualified service person.• When the system is changed over to HEATINGOPERATION after DEFROST OPERATION.Moisture generated by DEFROST becomessteam and exists.V. NOISE OF AIR CONDITIONERSA ringing sound after the unit is started.This sound is generated by the temperature reg-ulator working.It will quiet down after about a minute.• A continuous flow “Shuh” sound is heardwhen the systems is in COOLING orDEFROST OPERATION.This is the sound of refrigerant gas flowingthrough both indoor and outdoor units.• A “Shuh” sound which is heard at the start orimmediately after the stop of operation orwhich is heard at the start or immediatelyafter the stop of DEFROST OPERATION.This is the noise of refrigerant caused by flowstop and flow change.• A continuous low “Shah” sound is heardwhen the system is in COOLING OPERATIONor at a stop.The noise is heard when the drain pump is inoperation.• A “Pishi-pishi” squeaking sound is heardwhen the system is in operation or after thestop of operation.Expansion and contraction of plastic partscaused by temperature change makes this noise.
