Removal of Indoor Heat ExchangerProcedure Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all powersupplies before disassembling work.Step Procedure Points1. Disconnect the refrigerantpiping.Preparation Remove the electrical boxaccording to the “Removal ofElectrical Box / PCBs /Swing Motors”.CautionIf the refrigerant leaks, repairthe spot of leaking, thencollect all refrigerant from theunit. After conductingvacuum drying, rechargeproper amount of refrigerant.CautionIn pump-down work, be sureto stop the compressorbefore disconnecting therefrigerant pipe. If therefrigerant pipe isdisconnected with thecompressor operating andthe stop valve open, air maybe sucked in and maygenerate an over-pressure inrefrigeration cycle, thusresulting in pipe rupture oraccidental injury. Place a plastic sheet underthe drain pan to prevent fromwetting the floor withremaining drain. If the drain hose isembedded in the wall,disconnect the drain hosebeforehand. Carry out the removal workswith 2 wrenches.
