Removal of Indoor Heat ExchangerProcedure Warning Be sure to wait for 10 minutes or more after turning off all powersupplies before disassembling work.Step Procedure Points1. Disconnect the refrigerantpiping.Preparation Remove the electrical boxaccording to "Removal ofElectrical Box".CautionIf refrigerant leaks, repair thespot of leaking, then collectall refrigerant from the unit.After conducting vacuumdrying, recharge properamount of refrigerant.CautionIn pump-down work, be sureto stop the compressorbefore disconnecting therefrigerant pipe. If therefrigerant pipe isdisconnected with thecompressor operating andthe stop valve open, air maybe sucked in and maygenerate an over-pressure inrefrigeration cycle, thusresulting in pipe rupture oraccidental injury. Place a plastic sheet underthe drain pan to prevent fromwetting the floor withremaining drain. If the drain hose isembedded in the wall,disconnect the drain hosebeforehand. Carry out the removal workswith 2 wrenches. When the pipings aredisconnected, protect boththe openings of pipe and unitfrom entering of moisture.1 Hold the indoor unit upwith a piece of woodetc.2 Cover the drain hoseswith vinyl covers.3 Unscrew the flare nutfor gas piping.4 Unscrew the flare nutfor liquid piping.(R5370)Drain hose (R15469)(R5372)(R5373)
