109. ELECTRIC WIRING WORK9-1 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS• All field supplied parts and materials, electric works mustconform to local codes.• Use copper wire only.• Follow the “WIRING DIAGRAM” attached to the unitbody towire the outdoor unit, indoor units and the remote controller. For details on hooking up the remote controller, refer to the“INSTALLATION MANUAL OF REMOTE CONTROLLER”.• All wiring must be performed by an authorized electrician.• This system consists of multiple indoor units. Mark eachindoor unit as unit A, unit B . . . , and be sure the terminalboard wiring to the outdoor unit and BS unit are properlymatched. If wiring and piping between the outdoor unit andan indoor unit are mismatched, the system may cause a mal-function.• A circuit breaker capable of shutting down the power supplyto the entire system must be installed.9-2 ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICSMCA: Min. WIRING EXAMPLE AND HOW TO SETTHE REMOTE CONTROLLER10-1 HOW TO CONNECT WIRINGS〈Methods of wiring power supply, units and connecting remotecontroller wirings 〉• Power supply wiringRemove the electric parts box lid (1) and connect wires to thepower supply terminal block (3P) inside. In doing this, pull thewires inside through rubber bush A and clamp the wiresalong with other wires using clamp A, untightening the clip ofclamp A by pressing. After the connection, tighten clamp Aas before.• Unit wiring and remote controller wiringRemove the electric parts box lid (2) and pull the wires insidethrough rubber bush B and connect to the terminal block forunit transmission wirings (6P).• After connection, attach sealing pad(Be sure to attach it to prevent water from infiltrating the unitfrom the outside.)Units Powersupply Fan motorModel Hz Volts Voltagerange MCA MFA W FLAFXFQ12 MVJU60 208-230VMax.253Min. 1870.6 15 45 0.5FXFQ18 MVJU 0.7 15 45 0.6FXFQ24MVJU 0.8 15 45 0.6FXFQ30MVJU 1.2 15 90 1.0FXFQ36MVJU 1.2 15 90 1.0ModelPower supply wiring TransmissionwiringField fuses Size Wire SizeFXFQ12 MVJU15AWire sizemustcomply withlocal codes.Sheathed wire(2 wire)AWG18-16FXFQ18MVJUFXFQ24MVJUFXFQ30MVJUFXFQ36MVJU
