(Airfilter for exchange is optional.)1. Open the suction grille.Slide knobs (×2) simultaneously as shown and then pullthem downward. (Do the same procedure for closing.)(Refer to Fig. 2)2. Remove the air filters.Push the 2 tabs up, and remove slowly lower the air filter.(Refer to Fig. 3)3. Clean the air filter.Use vacuum cleaner A) or wash the air filter with water B).A) Using a vacuum cleaner (Do not useair of 120°F or higher.)B) Washing with waterWhen the air filter is very dirty, usesoft brush and neutral detergent.(Do not use water of 120°F or higher.)Remove water and dry in the shade.4. Fix the air filterSet the tab of the air filter to the hook of the suction grille,and fix the air filter. (By the method opposite to removing.)5. Shut the suction grille by the method opposite to opening.6. Press the FILTER SIGN RESET BUTTON on the remotecontroller.The display “ ” (TIME TO CLEAN AIR FILTER) vanishes.NOTE• Do not remove the air filter except when cleaning.• Unnecessary handling may damage the filter.• Do not use water or air of 120°F or higher for cleaning air fil-ters and outside panels.HOW TO CLEAN AIR OUTLET AND OUTSIDE PANELS• Clean with soft cloth.• When it is difficult to remove stains, use water or neutraldetergent.WARNING• Do not let the indoor unit get wet as it may cause an electricshock or fire.NOTE• Do not use gasoline, benzene, thinner, polishing powder, liquidinsecticide. It may cause discoloring or warping.• Do not scrub firmly when washing the blade with water.• The surface sealing may peel off.• Do not use water or air of 120°F or higher for cleaning air fil-ters and outside panels.HOW TO CLEAN THE SUCTION GRILLE1. Open the suction grille.Refer to “HOW TO CLEAN THE AIR FILTER”.(Refer to Fig. 2)2. Remove the air filter.Refer to “HOW TO CLEAN THE AIR FILTER”.(Refer to Fig. 3)3. Detach the suction grille.Pull the clips (×2) on the back of the suction grille forward.(Refer to Fig. 4)4. Clean the suction grille.Wash with a soft bristle brush and neutraldetergent or water, and dry throughly.NOTE• When badly soiled, spray with a typical kitchen cleanser and letsit for about 10 minutes. Then, wash with water.• Do not wash the suction grille with hot water of more than120°F, as doing so may result in discoloration and/or defor-mation.5. Fix the air filterRefer to “HOW TO CLEAN THE AIR FILTER ”.6. Attach the suction grille by the method opposite toremoving.7. Shut the suction grille by the method opposite to opening.
