English 15CAUTION• Arrange the wires and fix a lid firmly so that the lid does not float during wiring work.• Do not clamp remote controller wiring and transmission wiring together with power supply wiring. Doing somay cause malfunction.• Remote controller wiring and transmission wiring should be located at least 50 mm from power supply wir-ing. Not following this guideline may result in malfunction due to electrical noise.9. WIRING EXAMPLE AND HOW TO SET THE REMOTE CONTROLLER9-1 HOW TO CONNECT WIRINGSMethods of wiring power supply, connecting transmission and remote controller wiring• Power supply wiring and ground wireRemove the control box lid and connect wires to the power supply terminal block (3P) inside. And connectthe ground wire to the terminal block. In doing this, pull the wires inside through the hole and fix the wiressecurely with the included clamp (4).Give enough slack to the wires between the clamp (4) and power supply terminal block. (Use Fig. 27 as aguide and allow at least 80 mm for removing the sheath.)• Transmission wiring and remote controller wiringRemove the control box lid and pull the wires inside through the hole and connect to the terminal block forremote controller (6P). (no polarity) Securely fix the remote controller wiring and the transmission wiringwith the included clamp (4).Give enough slack to the wires between the clamp (4) and the terminal block for the remote controller.• After connection, attach sealing material (12).• Be sure to attach it to prevent the infiltration of water as well as any insects and other small creatures fromthe outside. Otherwise a short-circuit may occur inside the control box.CAUTION FOR WIRING• For connection to the terminal block, use ring type crimp style terminals with insulation sleeve or insulatethe wirings properly.• Connect the terminal as shown in Fig. 26.• Do not carry out soldering finish when stranded wires are used. (Otherwise, the loosening of wires mayresult in abnormal heat radiation.)Insulation sleeveRing type crimpstyle terminalWiringFig. 25Fig. 26Use wires the same in size(if the air conditioner is insimultaneous multi operation)
