Once in the unit, such ani-mals can cause malfunctions, smoke or firewhen making contact with electrical parts.• Do not let children play on or around theoutdoor unit.If they touch the unit carelessly, injury may becaused.HOW TO ADJUST THE HORIZON-TAL FAN DIRECTION ANGLEHold the tabs on edge louvers (horizontal air outletdirection adjustment flaps) down slightly andadjust left and right to match the room conditionsor your preference.Stop the horizontal flaps at a position where youcan hold the tabs and adjust it left and right.MAINTENANCE(FOR SERVICE PERSONNEL)WARNING• Only a qualified person is allowed to per-form maintenance without daily mainte-nance.• Before touching any of connection wirings,be sure to turn off all power supply switches.• Contact professional personnel aboutattachment of accessories and be sure touse only accessories specified by the man-ufacturer.If a defect results from your own workmanship, itmay result in water leaks, electric shock or fire.• Do not use flammable materials (e.g., hair-spray or insecticide) near the product.Do not clean the product with organic sol-vents such as paint thinner.The use of organic solvents may cause crackdamage to the product, electric shocks, or fire.• Consult your dealer regarding cleaning theinside of the air conditioner.Improper cleaning may cause breakage of plas-tic parts, water leakage and other damage aswell as electric shocks.CAUTION• Before cleaning, be sure to stop unit opera-tion, turn the power circuit breaker off orremove the power cord.Otherwise, an electric shock and injury mayresult.• Do not wash the air conditioner with water,as this may result in electric shocks or fire.2
