Do NOTremove the fan guard. When the fan is rotating at high speed, it will cause injury.NOTICETest run is possible for ambient temperatures between –20°C and 35°C.INFORMATIONDuring the first running period of the unit, the required power may be higher thanstated on the nameplate of the unit. This phenomenon is caused by the compressor, that needs a continuous run time of 50 hours before reaching smooth operation andstable power consumption.NOTICEBe sure to turn ON the power 6 hours before operation in order to have powerrunning to the crankcase heater and to protect the compressor.During test operation, the outdoor unit and the indoor units will start up. Makesure that the preparations of all indoor units are finished (field piping, electricalwiring, air purge, ...). See installation manual of the indoor units for details.21.3 Checklist before commissioningAfter the installation of the unit, first check the items listed below. Once all checksare fulfilled, the unit must be closed. Power-up the unit after it is closed. You read the complete installation and operation instructions, as described in the installerand user reference guide.InstallationCheck that the unit is properly installed, to avoid abnormal noises and vibrations whenstarting up the unit.Field wiringBe sure that the field wiring has been carried out according to the instructions described inthe chapter Connecting the electrical wiring, according to the wiring diagrams andaccording to the applicable legislation.Power supply voltageCheck the power supply voltage on the local supply panel. The voltage MUST correspond tothe voltage on the nameplate of the unit.Earth wiringBe sure that the earth wires have been connected properly and that the earth terminals aretightened.Insulation test of the main power circuitUsing a megatester for 500 V, check that the insulation resistance of 2 MΩ or more isattained by applying a voltage of 500 V DC between power terminals and earth. NEVER usethe megatester for the transmission wiring.Fuses, circuit breakers, or protection devicesCheck that the fuses, circuit breakers, or the locally installed protection devices are of thesize and type specified in the chapter "Safety device requirements" [4111]. Be sure thatneither a fuse nor a protection device has been bypassed.
