Drawing B-177836The module and driver board are a single, functional unit. To remove a module,complete the following steps:1. The modules are attached to an internal frame called the module-mountingpanel. Remove the modules by removing each of the screws in the fourcorners, as shown in Drawings B-177836, B-177822 and B-164514.Carefully remove the module and detach the ribbon cables. Label thecables, indicating which cable was removed from which connector; thelabeling will be helpful when you replace the board.2. To access the module from the rear of the TNMC, remove the right rear-access panel from the TNMC by loosening all three of the screws, as shownin final assembly Drawings B-177822 and B-164514. Take care not to dropthe panel, and remember that the module controller is attached to the facepanel.3. If you are accessing the unit from the rear, it is unnecessary to remove theentire module for service. Individual PC boards can be replaced from therear by removing the module driver and unfastening the wing nuts hold theboard in place. (Before unfastening the board, carefully disconnect theribbon cables. Once again, label the cables, indicating which cable wasremoved from which connector; the labeling will be helpful whenreconnecting).4. When installing a module, reverse the previous steps.During installation, inspect the weather-stripping on the back edge of the module.
