11 Warnings and Alarms11.1 Status Messages11.1.1 Warnings/Alarm MessagesThe LEDs on the LCP signals a warning or an alarm. A codein the display is also shown.A warning remains active until its cause is no longerpresent. Under certain circumstances, operation of themotor can still be continued. Warning messages are notnecessarily critical. An alarm makes the frequency converter trip. Alarms mustbe reset to restart operation once their cause has beenrectified.Three ways of resetting alarms• By pressing [Reset]• Via a digital input with the “Reset” function• Via serial communication/optional fieldbusNOTICEAfter a manual reset pressing [Reset], the [Auto On] keymust be pressed to restart the motor. If an alarm cannot be reset, the reason could be that itscause has not been rectified, or the alarm is trip-locked(see also Table 11.1).Alarms that are trip-locked offer additional protection, meaning that the mains supply must be switched offbefore the alarm can be reset. After being switched backon, the frequency converter is no longer blocked and canbe reset as described, once the cause has been rectified.Alarms that are not trip-locked can also be reset using theautomatic reset function in 14-20 Reset Mode (Warning:automatic wake-up is possible!)If a warning or alarm is marked against a code inTable 11.1, this means that either a warning occurs beforean alarm, or that it is possible to specify whether it is awarning or an alarm that is displayed for a given fault. This is possible, for instance, in 1-90 Motor ThermalProtection. After an alarm or trip, the motor carries oncoasting, and the alarm and warning flash. Once theproblem has been rectified, only the alarm continuesflashing until the frequency converter is reset.11.1.2 Alarm ListNo. Description Warning Alarm/trip Alarm/trip lock Parameter reference1 10 V low X2 Live zero error (X) (X) 6-01 Live Zero Timeout Function3 No motor (X) 1-80 Function at Stop4 Mains phase loss (X) (X) (X) 14-12 Function at Mains Imbalance5 DC link voltage high X6 DC link voltage low X7 DC over-voltage X X8 DC under voltage X X9 Inverter overloaded X X10 Motor ETR over temperature (X) (X) 1-90 Motor Thermal Protection11 Motor thermistor over temperature (X) (X) 1-90 Motor Thermal Protection12 Torque limit X X13 Over Current X X X14 Earth Fault X X X15 Hardware mismatch X X16 Short Circuit X X17 Control word time-out (X) (X) Parameter 8-04 Control TimeoutFunctionWarnings and Alarms Operating InstructionsMG90U302 Danfoss A/S © Rev. 2014-02-27 All rights reserved. 6911 11
