DIS User Manual CU 6105User Manual CU 6105.docx 52 Important2.1 Important Safeguards1 Read these instructions - All the safety andoperating instructions should be read beforethe apparatus or system is operated.2 Keep these instructions - The importantsafety instructions and operating instructionsshould be retained for future reference.3 Heed all warnings - All warnings on theapparatus and in the operating instructionsshould be adhered to.4 Follow all instructions - All instructions forinstallation or use/operating should befollowed.5 Do not use this apparatus near water - Donot use this apparatus in a water or moisturesenvironment - for example, near a bath tub,wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in awet basement, near a swimming pool, in anunprotected outdoor installation, or any areawhich is classified as a wet location.6 Warning: To reduce the risk of fire orelectric shock, do not expose this apparatusto rain or moisture and no objects filledwith liquids, such as vases, should be placedon this apparatus.7 Clean only with dry cloth - Unplug theapparatus from the outlet before cleaning. Donot use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.8 Do not block any ventilation openings.Install in accordance with themanufacturer’s instructions - Openings in theenclosure, if any, are provided for ventilationand to ensure reliable operation of theapparatus and to protect it from overheating.These openings must not be blocked orcovered. This apparatus should not be placed ina built-in installation unless proper ventilationis provided or the manufacturer’s instructionshave been adhered to.9 Do not install near any heat sources such asradiators, heat registers, stoves, air ducts,or other apparatus (including amplifiers)that produce heat.10 Do not install the unit in a place exposed todirect sunlight, excessive dust or humidity,mechanical vibration or shock.11 To avoid moisture condensations do notinstall the unit where the temperature mayrise rapidly.12 Do not defeat the safety purpose of thepolarized or ground-type plug. A polarizedplug has two blades with one wider than theother. A grounding type plug has two bladesand a third grounding prong. The wider bladeor the third prong is provided for your safety. Ifthe provided plug does not fit into your outlet,consult an electrician for replacement of theobsolete outlet.13 Protect the power cord from being walkedon or pinched particularly at plug,convenience receptacles, and the pointwhere they exit from the apparatus.14 Only use attachments/accessories specifiedby the manufacturer. Any mounting of theapparatus should follow the manufacturer’sinstructions, and should use a mountingaccessory recommended by the manufacturer.15 Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracketor table specified by the manufacturer, orsold with the apparatus.When a cart is used, usecaution when moving thecart/apparatuscombination to avoidinjury from tip-over -Quick stops, excessiveforce, and uneven surfacesmay cause the applianceand cart combination tooverturn.
