After scanning the interface barcodefrom the Interfaces section, you can select other optionsand customize your reader through use of the instructionsand programming barcodes available in the Gryphon™ IProduct Reference Guide (PRG). Check the correspondingfeatures section for your interface, and also the Data Edit-ing and Symbologies chapters of the PRG.Using Programming BarcodesThis manual contains barcodes which allow you to recon-figure your reader. Some programming barcode labels, likethe "Standard Product Default Settings" on page 31,require only the scan of that single label to enact thechange.Other barcodes require the reader to be placed in Pro-gramming Mode prior to scanning them. Scan an ENTER/EXIT barcode once to enter Programming Mode; scan thedesired parameter settings; scan the ENTER/EXIT barcodeagain to accept your changes, which exits ProgrammingMode and returns the reader to normal operation.Configure Other SettingsAdditional programming barcodes are available in the Gry-phon™ I PRG to allow for customizing programming fea-tures. If your installation requires different programmingthan the standard factory default settings, refer to thePRG.Resetting Standard Product DefaultsReference the PRG for a listing of standard factory set-tings. If you aren’t sure what programming options are inyour reader, or you’ve changed some options and want thefactory settings restored, scan the Standard Product DefaultSettings barcode below to copy the factory configurationfor the currently active interface to the current configura-tion.Factory defaults are based on the interfacetype. Configure the reader for the correct inter-face before scanning this label.
