If the devicecauses an abnormal current to flow, it may cause thebattery to become hot, explode or ignite and causeserious injury.Lithium-ion battery packs may get hot, explode orignite and cause serious injury if exposed to abusiveconditions. Be sure to follow the safety warningslisted on the following page.WARNING• Do not place the battery pack in fire or heat.• Do not connect the positive terminal and nega-tive terminal of the battery pack to each otherwith any metal object (such as wire).• Do not carry or store the battery pack togetherwith metal objects.• Do not pierce the battery pack with nails, strike itwith a hammer, step on it or otherwise subject itto strong impacts or shocks.• Do not solder directly onto the battery pack.• Do not expose the battery pack to liquids, orallow the battery to get wet.• Do not apply voltages to the battery pack con-tacts.In the event the battery pack leaks and the fluid getsinto your eye, do not rub the eye. Rinse well with waterand immediately seek medical care. If left untreated,the battery fluid could cause damage to the eye.CAUTIONAlways charge the battery at 32° – 104°F (0° - 40°C) tem-perature range.Use only the authorized power supplies, battery pack,chargers, and docks supplied by your Datalogic reseller.The use of any other power supplies can damage thedevice and void your warranty.Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The batterycontains safety and protection devices, which, if dam-aged, may cause the battery to generate heat, explodeor ignite.
