After scanning the interface barcode from the Interfaces sec-tion, you can select other options and customize your readerthrough use of the instructions and programming barcodes avail-able in the Gryphon™ I Product Reference Guide (PRG). Checkthe corresponding features section for your interface, and also theData Editing and Symbologies chapters of the PRG.Using Programming BarcodesThis manual contains barcodes which allow you to reconfigureyour reader. Some programming barcode labels, like the StandardProduct Default Settings on page 31, require only the scan of thatsingle label to enact the change.Other barcodes require the reader to be placed in ProgrammingMode prior to scanning them. Scan an ENTER/EXIT barcodeonce to enter Programming Mode; scan the desired parameter set-tings; scan the ENTER/EXIT barcode again to accept yourchanges, which exits Programming Mode and returns the readerto normal operation.Configure Other SettingsAdditional programming barcodes are available in the Gry-phon™ I PRG to allow for customizing programming features. Ifyour installation requires different programming than the stan-dard factory default settings, refer to the PRG.Resetting Standard Product DefaultsReference the PRG for a listing of standard factory settings. If youaren’t sure what programming options are in your reader, oryou’ve changed some options and want the factory settings re-stored, scan the Standard Product Default Settings barcode below tocopy the factory configuration for the currently active interface tothe current configuration.Factory defaults are based on the interface type.
