Customizable settings for many features are found in "ConfigurationParameters" starting on page 39.Some programming labels, like "Restore Custom Defaults" on page 35,require only the scan of the single label to enact the change. Most, however,require the reader to be placed in Programming Mode prior to scanningthem. Scan an ENTER/EXIT bar code once to enter Programming Mode. Oncethe reader is in Programming Mode, scan a number of parameter settingsbefore scanning the ENTER/EXIT bar code a second time, which will thenaccept your changes, exit Programming Mode and return the reader to nor-mal operation.There are some exceptions to the typical programming sequencedescribed above. Please read the description and setting instructionscarefully when configuring each programmable feature.Datalogic Aladdin™Datalogic Aladdin™ is a multi-platform utility program providing a quick anduser-friendly configuration method via the RS-232/USB-COM interface.Aladdin is available on the CD-ROM provided with your product, and alsofrom the Datalogic website. Aladdin allows you to program the reader byselecting configuration commands through a user-friendly graphical inter-face running on a PC. These commands are sent to the reader over theselected communication interface, or they can be printed as bar codes to bescanned.Aladdin also provides the ability to perform a software upgrade for the con-nected device (see the Datalogic Aladdin™ Help On-Line for more details).
