Ensure the battery is installed properly.System failure. Perform a cold reset. Refer to Resetting thePegaso on page 2-24.During reset, theterminal beepstwice and staysblank.Firmware persistentflash memory hasbeen corrupted.Re-download the firmware using the DFU inbootload mode. Refer to the PRG.Rechargeablebattery pack didnot charge.Battery failure.Replace the battery. If the terminal still doesnot work, do a warm reset, then a cold reset;refer to Resetting the Pegaso on page 2-24.The unit was removedfrom the dock whilebattery was charging.Insert the Pegaso in dock and begin charging.The battery pack and backup battery require 4hours to fully charge.Characters are notvisible on thedisplay.The Pegaso is notpowered on. Press .The ambient roomlight is too dark or low.The Ambient Light Sensor may not be function-ing properly.No sound isaudible.Volume setting is lowor turned off.Adjust the sound by going to Start > Settings> Control Panel > Volume & Sounds --OR --Scan a bar code from the PRG.The Pegaso turnsitself off.The Pegaso is inac-tive.The Pegaso turns off after a period of inactivity.You can set duration from 1-30 minutes. Referto the PRG.During datacommunication, nodata wastransmitted, ortransmitted datawas incomplete.The Pegaso wasremoved from dock orunplugged from hostPC during communi-cations.Replace the terminal in the dock or replace theserial cable, and retransmit.Incorrect cable config-uration. See your System Administrator.Communication soft-ware was incorrectlyinstalled or config-ured.Perform setup as described in the PRG.
