If youhave questions or if problems persist, contact a qualified technician or DatamaxTechnical Support.6.1.1 General ResolutionsThe following table lists problems that may not generate a printer message:If experiencing thisproblem… Try this solution…Blank display (but thebacklight is ON):Check the following possibilities:• The display contrast may set too low (press and hold theMENU Button until the display contrast is acceptable); or,• Disconnect any device attached to the optional SDIO Slot orUSB Host Port.Erratic feeding: The printer may require calibration (see Section 3.4).Erratic printing:Check the following possibilities:• If in Hex Dump Mode, disable it (see Section 6.3); or,• If using serial communications, check the host and printerport settings; the printer may be set to eight data bits whilethe host is set to 7, or vice versa (see Section 4.2.5).
