7CHOOSING A LOCATION FOR THE HYDROTHERAPY SPAThere are many factors to consider when choosing a location to set up the hydrotherapy spa. These factors varydepending on whether you use the hydrotherapy spa inside or outside. We have listed several factors you maywish to consider as you decide where you want to use the hydrotherapy spa.If you set up the hydrotherapy spa inside:1. The hydrotherapy spa will increase the level ofhumidity in your home. The location you chooseshould be well ventilated. You may need to installa ventilation fan or use a dehumidifier.2. The location must be close to an electrical outlet.Do not use an extension cord with thehydrotherapy spa.3. The hydrotherapy spa should be close to a sourceof water.4. Do not use the hydrotherapy spa on carpet orother material that may be damaged by moisture.We recommend that you place the hydrotherapyspa on a water- and stain-resistant, non-slip sur-face with a floor drain for any water that maysplash from the hydrotherapy spa.5. Be sure that the location you choose is stable. Itmust be able to support the weight of thehydrotherapy spa when it is filled with water, plusthe weight of the occupants. The hydrotherapyspa weighs approximately 2000 pounds whenfilled with water.6. Do not use the hydrotherapy spa above a finishedliving area, due to the risk of water damage.7. Be sure that there is room around the hydrothera-py spa to permit servicing of the unit. The dimen-sions of the spa are: 5’10”W x 6’4”L x 2’6”H. Youshould allow for this size when choosing the loca-tion.8. The hydrotherapy spa is not designed for in-floorinstallation.
