12GENERAL FEATURESAs its name indicates, this is an oventhat presents particular features from anoperational point of view.In fact, it is possible to insert 7 differentprograms to satisfy every cooking need. The 7 positions, thermostatically controlled, are obtained by 4 heating elements whichare:• Bottom element 1750 W• Top element 1200 W• Grill element 2400 W• Circular element 2500 WNOTE:Upon first use, it is advisable to operatethe oven for 60 minutes in the positionand for another 15 minutes at themaximum temperature (thermostat knobon position 225) in the positions and, to eliminate possible traces of grease onthe heating elements.Clean the oven and accessories with warmwater and washing-up liquid.WARNING:The door is hot, use the handle.During use the appliance becomes hot.Care should be taken to avoid touchingheating elements inside the oven.OPERATING PRINCIPLESHeating and cooking in theMULTIFUNCTION oven are obtained in thefollowing ways:a. by normal convectionThe heat is produced by the upper andlower heating elements.b. by forced convectionA fan draws in the air contained inthe oven, which circulates it throughthe circular heating element and thenforced back into the oven by the fan. Before the hot air is drawn backagain by the fan to repeat the cycle,it envelops the food in the oven, provoking a complete and rapidcooking. It is possible to cook severaldishes simultaneously.c. by semi-forced convectionThe heat produced by the upper andlower heating elements is distributedthroughout the oven by the fan.d. by radiationThe heat is radiated by the infra redgrill element.e. by radiation and ventilationThe radiated heat from the infra redgrill element is distributed throughoutthe oven by the fan.f. by ventilationThe food is defrosted by using the fanonly function without heat. Before introducing the food, preheat theoven to the desired temperature. For a correct preheating operation, it isadvisable to remove the tray from the ovenand introduce it together with the food, when the oven has reached the desiredtemperature.Check the cooking time and turn off theoven 5 minutes before the theoretical timeto recuperate the stored heat.Attention: The oven door becomesvery hot during operation.Keep children away.4 - MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRIC OVENSmells and fumes produced during thisburn off process are not a cause of alarm.Adequate ventilation should however beprovided in the room where the applianceis installed, e.g. by opening a window.
