It must not be usedfor other purposes and must not be modified inany way.• Do not use the appliance if it is damaged (i.e. froma fall)• Before using the fryer for first time, remove thecardboard (if fitted) from the drainig hole; washthe aluminium bowl and basket using hot waterand a little washing-up liquid; then dry carefullythe bowl.• The fryer must only be used (inserting the pluginto the mains socket) after having been filledwith oil or fat. If it is turned on while empty, asafety mechanism will cause it to cut out. Shouldthis occur, it is necessary to contact an authorisedDealer for qualified assistance.• Before use, check that power supply correspondsto power requirements of appliance (see specifi-cation written on rating label).• Connect appliance only to earthed power outletswith minimum of 10A current carrying capacity.• When in use, the appliance becomes very hot.THE APPLIANCE MUST BE INSTALLED OUT OFTHE REACH OF CHILDREN.• When the appliance is in operation, the drainagetube (if fitted) must always be closed and positio-ned in its compartment.• Always allow the oil to cool before moving thefryer, as hot oil can cause severe burns.• Should fryer leak, contact nearest Service Centreor authorized Dealer for qualified assistance.• Do not unplug the appliance by pulling on theelectric cable - always use the plug itself.• Serious hot-oil burns may result from a deep fatfryer being pulled off of a countertop. Do notallow the cord to hang overthe edge of the counterwhere it may be grabbedby children or become enta-gled with the user. Do notuse with an extension cord.• Children or infirm personsshould not be allowed to usethis product unsupervised.• Children should not beallowed to play with thisappliance.• To move the appliance, use the special liftinghandles (L). (Never lift by the basket handle).• It is totally normal that, on first use, the refri-gerator emits a “new appliance” smell.
