13(fig. 23).8. Follow the instructions below for each function.Making cappuccino1. After attaching the milk container, position the frothregulator between the words cappuccino and caffelatteprinted on the milk container lid. The quantity of froth canbe adjusted by moving the regulator towards the wordcaffelatte for a denser froth. Moving it towards the wordcappuccino obtains a less dense froth.2. Press the cappuccino button (fig. 24). The message“CAPPUCCINO” is displayed. After a few seconds, frothedmilk flows out of the milk spout into the cup below. Milkdelivery stops automatically and coffee delivery begins.Please note!If during delivery you want to stop making milk or coffee, pressthe CAPPUCCINO button.Making frothed milk1. After attaching the milk container, position the frothedmilk regulator according to the quantity of froth required(see previous section).2. Press the CAPPUCCINO button twice (fig. 24). “FROTHEDMILK” appears on the display and after a few seconds,frothed milk is delivered from the milk spout into the cupbelow.Please note!To stop preparation of frothed milk, press the CAPPUCCINObutton once.Cleaning the milk container after useImportant! Danger of burnsWhen cleaning the internal tubes of the milk container, a littlehot water leaks out of the frothed milk spout (B5).Avoid contact with splashes of water.When “Press CLEAN” flashes on the display (each time you usea milk function):1. Leave the milk container in the machine (you do not needto empty it);2. Place a cup or other recipient under the frothed milkspout.3. Press the “CLEAN” button (fig. 25) and keep pressing untilthe progress bar which appears on the display togetherwith the message “Cleaning underway” is complete.4. Remove the milk container and always clean the steamnozzle with a sponge (fig. 26).Please note!• When “Press CLEAN” flashes on the display, you can stillprepare any type of coffee or milk. If you have to make anumber of milk-based coffees, wait until you have delive-red the last cup before cleaning the container.• The milk left in the container can be kept in the refrigera-tor.• In some cases, to clean you must wait for the appliance toheat up, holding the CLEAN button down.Programming the quantities of coffee and milk in thecupThe appliance is set by default to automatically deliver stan-dard quantities.To change these quantities, proceed as follows:1. Place a cup under the coffee spouts and milk spout.2. Press the CAPPUCCINO button until the message “MilkProgram quantity” is displayed.3. Release the button. The appliance starts delivering milk.4. Once the required quantity of milk has been delivered intothe cup, press the button again.5. After a few seconds, the appliance starts delivering coffeeinto the cup and the message “Coffee Program Quantity”is displayed.6. Once the required quantity of coffee has been deliveredinto the cup, press the CAPPUCCINO button. Coffee deli-very stops.The machine is now reprogrammed with the new quantities.HOT WATERPreparationImportant! Danger of burns.Never leave the machine unsupervised while hot water is beingdelivered. The hot water spout becomes hot while water isbeing delivered and must be handled by the handle only.1. Make sure the hot water spout is attached correctly (fig.4).2. Place a container under the spout (as close as possible toavoid splashes).3 Press the button (fig. 2). The message “HOT WA-TER...” is displayed.5. Water flows out of the spout. Delivery stops automaticallyafter about 250 ml.6. To interrupt delivery of hot water manually, press thebutton again.Please note• If energy saving has been enabled, delivery could be dela-yed a few seconds.
