13De s c a l i n gWhen the scale deposits become excessive(on average, after about 400 hours of opera-tion) or in any case, at least once each sea-son, it is very important to proceed with thedecalcification of the appliance as describedbelow.To remove the scale from the appliance, youneed:• 250 ml of descaling liquid• 750 ml of clean water(corresponding to a diluted solution of 75%)Proceed as follows:1) Remove the tank from the applianceand drain the water remaining in the col-lection reservoir by using the draina-ge hose (fig. H).2) Close the drainage hose . Pour 250 mlof decalcifying liquid and 1 litre of cleanwater into the collection reservoirwhich is found under the tank (fig. I), onthe bottom of the appliance.3) Operate the air conditioner for about halfan hour.4) After this, drain out all of the liquid remai-ning in the collection reservoir and rinsethoroughly. During the rinsing process, thedrainage hose must be open and theappliance functioning.5) Unplug the appliance from the mains andclean the collection reservoir thoroughlywith a clean cloth.6) After cleaning the collection reservoir, theair conditioner can be used normally.511115630fig.
